The mandate
of GMA is to cater to the needy throughout our community and indeed, the
The central mission of GMA is
five-fold in nature, and reflect on the statement of our Lord and
Saviour, Jesus Christ, as
recorded in Matthew 25:35-36.
For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye
gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I
was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. (Matthew
25:35-36)
The Food
Pantry
The Food Pantry offers hot meal for the hungry on a weekly basis.
Additionally, collected food items are packaged for those in need. Food items
are gathered from foods stores, wholesalers, churches and other contributors.
The
Water Fountain
The Water Fountain supplies fresh water and drink supplies to those who
are bereft of the same. Qualified participants can expect to receive this
precious commodity from the GMA mission centre based on available supplies.
Water is also distributed to islands hit by natural disaster or are
experiencing temporary shortage due to an unforeseen circumstance.
The
Clothes Closet
The Clothes Closet is a unique clothing ministry the accumulate and distribute clothing to those
having a present need. Even though we prefer new clothes to come into the
centre, used clothing is welcome. All used clothing goes through GM\A?s Dry
Cleaning & Pressing Centre so that clothes distributed can be sorted,
restored and packaged for recipients.
Room at
the
RATI consist of individuals and families who assist those needing shelter
on a temporary basis. RATI also uses
The Door
Knockers
The Door Knockers is a group of volunteers that visit the sick, shut-in
and those incarcerated. The Door Knockers do some bible study, counseling,
praying and singing depending on the need and condition of those visited.
Other Mission Ministries
The Gleaners
Based on
biblical principles, The Gleaners ministry comprises volunteers who gather
surplus goods that would otherwise be discarded. These products are distributed
according to our needs analysis. Items include; food from restaurants, pastries
from bakeries, chemicals from manufacturers, fruit from vendors, meat from
butchers, clothes from outlets, building material from related companies, etc.,
Stamps for Missions
Stamps for Missions is a program of GMA that collects quality stamps from Super
Value food stores and Save a Check from City Market programs. These stamps are
accumulated and distributed to families on a needs basis.
The Thrift Shop
The Thrift
Shop is opened to the public on Saturdays at

Children
Special
offering from school programs, GMA contributes to ?Feed the Children? program,
